Special thanks to all the churches that have partnered with us!
Above is a video that captures what one of our key partnering churches did for the Olympics. Coastal Church, in addition to what is outlined in the video, also ‘adopted’ TWO translink stations, and mobilized volunteers to cover it over the entire Olympics! They also ran an Alpha course – during lunchtime every day.
Below, the Google Map contains over 1300 churches and organizations! Click on a 'pin' for information on a particular community. If your church or organization is not on the map, or you need your information updated, please register below.
The More Than Gold network is serving as a catalyst for the one church to collaborate together as we continue to seek the welfare of our communities post-Olympics. We are stronger and more visible as we take action together – in our beautiful diversity!
"...I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." John 17

The More Than Gold Network is not only about events and opportunities during the time of the games (February 12 – 28 / March 12 – 21, 2010). There is a strong commitment to 'legacy'. More Than Gold has catalyzed new relationships (networks) across the Lower Mainland. Unity of the Spirit brings growth and spiritual authority. It also displays to the world diverse expressions of the transformational power of Love and Community. More Than Gold will morph into a support base for networks to continue to grow and express various initiatives.
It is hoped to support this with a significant element of web based networking... based on municipalities, neighborhoods and special interests (much of the extensive work in building this site will be utilized).
The Google Map feature could be extended to list the 'good works' and hospitality events that churches do - an 'inventory of good works' in the different areas could then be generated, with new collaborative initiatives that follow. Networks More Than Gold has built will be encouraged and accessible online.
