Creatve and Performing Arts Service Opportunities for Individuals

Possible ways of serving with the Creative and Performing Arts group

1. Hosts
    -One pair per artist group/one per artist
    -Helping artists around the city
    -Finding meals
    -Liaising with venue for artist
    -Helpful if these people have a background in the arts and have a vision for the city.

2. Village Hospitality
    -Making the Artist Village welcoming
    -Flowers / table cloths / snacks / greeting / directing to housing

3. Info Centre
    -At Artist Village - providing transit info, maps, connections with appropriate people, site liaising
    -Experience in Vancouver necessary

4. Kitchen help
    -Helping to set out lunch materials for each day’s bag lunches

5. Roadies
    -Aiding set-up and tear down at each venue
    -Experience in stage tech helpful

6. Venue Hospitality
    -Welcoming people as they arrive
    -Providing information about event
    -Talking one-on-one with guests, as needed
    -Minor security at venue
    -Look of the site: decorations, etc.

***For ALL volunteers under the age of 19, parents MUST FILL OUT and SEND IN the parent's authorization form. To download that form, please click here.

***All volunteers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent throughout the entire time they are volunteering.

***If you are registering as a TEAM, please have each of your group members fill out an application form, designating who your team leader is. Ideally, have your team leader register first, indicating how many people are planning on joining your team. Then, have each team member register, indicating who the group leader is. If you register before your team leader, no problem, just make sure he/she registers soon so we know who belongs with who!
