Service Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals

More Than Gold is digging in and preparing for the thousands of volunteers needed to offer radical hospitality for nearly 60,000 hours of service before, during, and after the Olympics. How would you like to give your time?

Hospitality:

One of the greatest volunteer needs that we have is for people to prepare and serve hot beverages at one of 25 locations throughout the greater Vancouver area. With the surge of people using public transit, the wait time for transit can easily be upwards of an hour. People will be tired, cold and just waiting for something to fill that wait time void! This can be you and the hot beverages you serve. You could play a key role in fulfilling this need and at the same time, get to experience the joys of caring for others through acts of service and collaborating alongside those who share your passion of service.

Creative and Performing Arts:

Another need we have is for groups of people to commit time to serving with the Creative and Performing Arts. The Creative and Performing Arts group is in need of artistic hosts who could welcome and guide the visiting artists and share More Than Gold's vision. They also need security personnel for the More Than Gold artist village.

Operations:

More Than Gold needs a few highly motivated and experienced volunteers who can come into the More Than Gold office on a regular basis and help with administrative tasks before, during, and after the Olympics. These individuals thrive on doing behind-the-scenes work as they see their supporting role assist the development of a collaborative effort.
