Invest in your network!

But our work isn’t over! It’s just getting started. Six years ago in our second meeting ever, we agreed our mission would be to work together “before, during, and after” the Games. Games-related operations and debriefing wrapped up in June; now we are turning our attention to the future of our network. A newly formed Legacy Committee is overseeing a 12-month transition period in which we’ll morph into a support base for local networks to grow and express the radical hospitality of Christ at neighbourhood, municipal, and regional levels. More details will be released in the fall, but you can expect

• an expanded internet platform for communication and coordination
• regular celebration and worship events
• more service and training opportunities
• to facilitate a process to discern concrete long-term objectives and organizational structure for our network.

Because we were only borrowing the branded name of More Than Gold, we’ll shortly be adopting a new one and will redirect traffic from www.morethangold.ca. The activities above require part-time program staff and administrative expenses. City In Focus has agreed to continue handling the financial back end for our network. Please consider making a tax-receiptable one-time gift or set up a pre-authorized donation today.
