PRAYER WALK - Sunday March 7th at 3pm.
More Than Gold invites everyone to a Praise and Prayer Walk:
3:00pm, Sunday, March 7th at Queen Elizabeth Park – we will meet in the parking lot on top of QE Park. It may cost a loonie to park for an hour.
We will walk around the top of the area and praise and pray at several of the spectacular views over the City. All are welcome to join MTG in giving thanks to God for His goodness to us all during the time of preparation and realisation for this Olympic season.
As we consider the depth of prayer that went into seeking God for the City, Canada and the Nations, we are grateful to God for the hundreds and thousands who prayed. We praise God for the leadership of the Staff of MTG: Karen, Bob, Katie and Rachael and the ‘Radical Hospitality’ working groups that have served with much favour. We thank God for The BURN with the 27 hours of continuous worship and prayer, and the International Prayer Centre on Keats Island that served us with constant prayer and a daily prayer update. Here below is the final comment from Richard Long of the National House Of Prayer who led the team on Keats:
Dear Praying Friend,
This is the final day of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics here in Canada. Thank you for being part of this vast network of intercessors who have prayed for Vancouver and the window that the Winter Games created for an unprecedented outreach effort. This prayer update went out to 445 prayer leaders, who then in many cases sent it out further to prayer groups, church lists, nation-wide networks, and even international networks of intercessors. Literally thousands of us have been praying together. Here at the Keats Island International Prayer Centre we have been the beneficiary of many wonderful reports of what the Lord has been doing in answer to our prayers. We have heard testimonies of people being led to the Lord by chaplains, hospitality workers, street evangelists and prayer teams in different venues. Amazing concerts, art shows, and worship events allowed the 250,000 visitors to Vancouver to experience the beauty and presence of the Lord in creative ways. Over 500,000 cups of coffee and hot chocolate were poured into visitors and residents alike by the "radical hospitality" teams. Your prayers reinforced the Love of God as it invaded the region like the rising waves of a tsunami. Praise God!
