Missions Teams

Upwords of 4,000 volunteers from around the world came to Vancouver to help with hospitality efforts. They served in a variety of ways, supporting the other Working Groups, such as Hospitality, Sports, Prayer and Arts Festivals. Some rode the bus and Skytrain and walk the city, striking up conversations, offering More Than Gold trading pins and literature, and sharing their faith, as opportunities arose.

IF YOU ARE LOCAL and want to volunteer for future events and opportunities, please go through our volunteer registration process by Clicking Here. Missions Teams are geared more toward people who do not live locally. Locals can be apart of Missions Teams, but they need at least two people to join and they must pay the $75 registration fee. Those who are local (only) can sign up by Clicking Here and do not have to pay the registration fee.

SNAPSHOT - a Missions Team from Finland offer some refections

For most it takes faith and courage to share with strangers. This outwardly shy team from Finland have the additional language and cross cultural challenge in connecting with people.

This was filmed at Regent College. (Apologies for the audio quality)

Hi! This site is still under construction, but we will soon have application forms available for downloading by mission teams willing to come and serve here in 2010. We are also looking for local churches and schools to provide housing for incoming mission teams. Please email the Mission Teams Working Group at morethangoldteams@gmail.com with your questions and comments.

Thanks!
