How Can Individuals, Churches and Groups in the Lower Mainland & Fraser Valley be involved with the Mission Teams Working Group?
• Provide sleeping space and breakfasts for a mission team (host facility receives funds to offset costs) – please download the “Accommodation Agreement” for specific information
• Invite a team to assist with your church’s own outreach events – if your church is planning a community festival, big-screen viewing party, children’s mini-Olympics weekend, or ANY other type of outreach and you need volunteers to assist you, we can assign a team of volunteers to help you.
• Help with transporting teams – to/from airport, bus station, etc. – to/from their accommodations and work sites. If you have church buses or vans and drivers, we need to hear from you!
• Supply bag lunches for teams (funds available to cover costs of food) – these could be made on site or delivered to various locations which will be “home bases” for volunteers
• Prepare and serve dinner - or bring equipment and make laminated nametags on the spot – or serve in other ways - at one of 6 training days for mission team volunteers.
Teams will be arriving at different times and must attend one training day before they begin their assignments. We need local people to help with various jobs on these days: Feb. 11, 13, 18, 21 and Mar. 11, 13. If you are able to help with any of the above, please contact us via morethangoldteams@gmail.com or call Janet at 778-888-2637
